Global Event Coordinator - Temp to Perm

Based in Canary Wharf, London

£11.50ph - £13ph (Full time equivalent £25k - £28k) - depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Event Coordinator to join this busy company. Based in Canary Wharf, you’ll be working within an established team where your main focus will be coordinating and producing virtual events & conferences.

The role will involve taking calls / emails from clients, understanding their requirements, booking meeting rooms / conference rooms globally and ensuring all parties have all the information they need for the conference call or event to be a success. You’ll be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly and any technical issues are resolved quickly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking enquiries over the phone and via email
  • Meeting with clients to discuss requirements
  • Checking availability of conference facilities with venues worldwide
  • Booking conference facilities (rooms / video conferencing facilities / AV equipment) and ensuring client has all essential information
  • Creating the booking on the in house system and administering all information to involved parties
  • Following up on the event to ensure success
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues with technical team to ensure smooth delivery of the event / call
  • Other ad hoc administration as required

About you:

  • Previous experience in similar role would be advantageous
  • Highly organised and experience in coordinating / scheduling multiple meetings / events is essential
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Client facing experience along with customer service skills
  • Strong IT skills - MS Office, Skype and WebEx
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

This role is Temp to Perm with an immediate start.
