Group Marketing Manager - Luxury Products
Based in Weybridge
Salary circa £55k - £60k
As Group Marketing Manager you’ll be responsible for driving growth across the retail and wholesale divisions of the business, in a diverse environment including online, digital and bricks & mortar marketing techniques. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, creative and strategic marketeer with experience across a variety of digital marketing channels in a luxury product environment. We’re looking for candidates specifically from retail / wholesale for skin or body care products / cosmetics / beauty / fragrance or fashion.
Responsibilities include:
- Creative drive to offer a competitive and commercial edge to brand portfolio.
- Create brand objectives and go to market strategies taking into account the brands positioning and global strategy.
- Leverage digital environment to reach customer target effectively.
- Brief media agencies and regularly review to ensure that the brand communication matches the objectives and strategy of the brand.
- Create fully integrated product launch campaigns incorporating media, events, PR and digital marketing.
- Manage and proactively control brand budgets.
- Analyse sales results with regards to the brand as a whole and the individual promotions.
- Liaise with sales managers and display team regarding new site and display opportunities.
- Check gross margin, ensuring respect for the brand pricing structure is maintained.
- Mentor and develop the skills and knowledge of Brand Managers, from creative thinking to activity implementation.
- Attend and present at quarterly meetings with client companies to update them on all aspects of the business and report on the progress of the brand strategy.
- Present to store groups with the sales team and take advantage of key retail marketing opportunities available.
- Report and debate brand strategy implementation and team activity to Marketing Director on a weekly basis.
Candidate requirements:
- To be considered for this role candidates must have luxury product experience in a similar role in one of the following areas: cosmetics / fragrance / beauty / fashion / skin or body care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Core understanding of marketing, budgeting and cost effectiveness.
- Ability to identify target audiences and formulate objectives and strategy
- Comprehensive knowledge of marketing strategy and a proven track record of execution.
- Understand margin calculations, profit and loss accounts and be competent in sales and forecast analysis.
- Creative thinker and a strategic mind.
- Proven experience on brand development.
- Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and positive disposition.
