Head of HR

WendyB are exclusively recruiting for a permanent Head of HR on behalf of our client based in Frimley. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead a team of HR Generalists and the people function for approximately 7000 full and part time staff working at multiple branches throughout the UK.  We are looking for candidates with established experience from a multi-site retail, restaurant, food services or similar FMCG background

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to manage ER, absence and sickness
  • Review and manage HR policies, processes and systems
  • To establish processes for succession planning within the organisation, encouraging talent from all areas of the business
  • Advising and coaching senior managers
  • Working with Senior Board members of acquired businesses, integrating them into the organisation

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience of leading a HR function in a company employing 1,000s of staff
  • Superb communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Sharp business acumen and the gravitas to transact with senior business partners
  • Dealing with senior and occasionally challenging individuals
  • Up to date knowledge of current Employment Law including TUPE
  • Fast and decisive decision maker who will quickly grasp business strategy in a fast moving organisation ensuring brand integrity is upheld at all times.

This is a full time role, based in Frimley and will not require the job holder to travel excessively. The company works 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday.  The salary stated is negotiable as are other benefits for the right applicant. This will prove a challenging yet highly rewarding opportunity.
