HR Consultant - Fleet 

Salary circa £45k

This long standing WendyB client is looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join their team to offer advice and guidance to their diverse client set.  Recruitment for this role will begin late June 2019, however if this sounds of interest apply today and we’d be happy to have a confidential discussion with you.

We’re looking for HR Consultants who are qualified to CIPD L7, with wide ranging experience covering employee relations, implementing policies and procedures, training and development, TUPE, change management and coaching/mentoring.

Overview of the role includes:

  • Providing excellent level advice and consultancy support on a full range of HR issues including employee relation issues and offering guidance on more complex issues as appropriate
  • Maintain and manage effective customer relationships and service by providing proactive and timely solutions to resolve people management issues 
  • Manage a complex caseload of Employee Relation issues including disciplinary and grievance cases, performance management and sickness absence management
  • Developing, reviewing, and applying HR policies and procedures where necessary 
  • Ensuring HR agendas are aligned with employment law issues
  • Auditing for any HR activities to ensure compliance
  • Creating and delivering HR related training sessions 
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders as necessary on specific casework
  • Maintain appropriate reporting systems for casework activity data 
  • Lead on the development and implementation of specific policies, projects and initiatives 
  • Develop the HR professional service by developing and following up new business leads as appropriate 
  • Support the design, development and delivery of HR training packages to clients 

Candidate profile:

  • Qualification to CIPD L7 is essential
  • Extensive HR Generalist experience
  • Experience in HR related project management
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices
  • Solid understanding of research methods and analysis
  • Excellent IT proficiency with working knowledge of human resource IT (ATS, Payroll etc.)
  • Ability to strategize and formulate business plans
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, consulting and presentation skills
  • Degree or Masters in human resources, business administration or relevant field would be advantageous
