HR Manager

Location: nr Manchester Airport

Salary: £42k - £50k depending on experience

Hours of work: Full time, non-standard hours (4am - 12pm UK time) with flexibility

A brand new opportunity within a rapidly growing international organisation based near Manchester Airport. This is a stand alone HR Manager role, where you will be instrumental in developing people culture, implementing policy and procedure and dealing with day to day HR queries and issues.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have extensive experience in a similar stand alone role, be qualified to at least CIPD L5 (ideally higher) or qualified by experience, be adept at dealing with people, supporting managers / senior leaders and creating processes to ensure smooth running of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure that the needs of the business are being met and risks managed.
  • Support and coach senior managers / team leaders to ensure effective delivery of HR operations.
  • Provide advice and support to senior management / team leaders with training and development of wider teams.
  • Lead and take ownership of complex case management including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, attendance and occupational health issues.
  • Lead and manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring that applicants are correctly assessed and matched to the requirements of the job as well as meeting any pre-employment verification measures.
  • Act as the 'go to’ person for all people management related advice.
  • Provide all HR administration including employment contracts, new starter documentation for onboarding, recording sick leave/holiday/maternity, and ensure all policy documentation is kept up to date.
  • Provide direction and advice to colleagues across the business on HR policies and processes and on the resolution of specific HR matters.
  • Implement benefits and reward schemes across the business.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience in a stand alone HR role
  • CIPD qualified to at least L5 (ideally L7) OR qualified by experience
  • Experience in all aspects of HR related matters
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
