Office Administrator

 

This membership organisation experienced an exciting period of growth over the last year and as such are looking for an Administrator to join their team. This role will involve working closely with the Senior Administrator and providing key administrative support to members, internal and external staff as well as ensuring the smooth running of the office.

 

We’re looking for someone with solid administration experience, who is numerate and if you have experience of managing or coordinating events that would be a massive bonus!

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the administration of the Annual conference, regional membership meetings and other networking events
  • Ensuring upkeep of databases and the website
  • Raising and sending invoicing/accounts services
  • Create and administer surveys including the annual benchmarking survey and membership satisfaction survey
  • Liaise with venues to ensure event requirements are fulfilled, sourcing hotels and accommodation including alternatives
  • Assist with preparation of new member welcome membership packs
  • Process Member Enquiries and upload responses to the website and follow up if no responses received
  • Provide administration support including answering the telephone, proofreading documents, franking machine, opening and distributing post, ordering and maintaining stationery

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience of managing / coordinating events would be advantageous
  • Strong administration experience
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Confidence to follow up on enquiries either by phone or e-mail
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with databases, content management systems, website development, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to write clearly and in plain English with an accessible style
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to proofread materials and check own work for accuracy
