Personal Assistant to Managing Director

Brand new role which is going to be of significant interest to candidates with a legal, investigative or research background.  Because of the complex nature of the MD's work and his communications within Government, Fire & Safety and British Courts, candidates must be degree educated (or equiv) and unfortunately this is not negotiable. Also worth considering before you apply is the office location. This client is based in a fairly rural spot (on the edge of Farnham) and you'll need your own transport to reach them. You'll also be OK with cats as there's a resident office moggie!

  • Salary - C£35,000pa
  • 40 hours per week - in office
  • 22 days holiday plus public
  • Pension
  • Bonus

This is a traditional PA role supporting the MD of an SME recognised as a leader and specialist in their field.  It's busy, often intense work and requires someone with superb attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and, essentially, manage the itinerary, whereabouts and day to day changes of someone with a full diary. You'll be someone who can anticipate what's happening next and react with speed and flexibility.

  • Managing the MDs diary including all appointments, both business and personal
  • Dealing with customers and industry associates at all levels with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency
  • Managing and prioritizing telephone calls and taking dictation for the MD
  • Managing travel and supporting business materials
  • Working as part of the administrative team dealing with client enquiries, projects and general administration
  • Supporting the Director of Administration as required and the senior management team in general
  • General administration including filing of reports and correspondence

Skills / experience required

  • Good MS Office - Word, Ezxcel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Degree level education
  • Previous, solid PA experience
  • High standard of spoken and written communication.  Fluency in English language is essential and as part of the interview process, this will be assesssed.
  • Friendly, confident personality who enjoys working one to one but also who is happy collaborating in a wider team.  They're an incredibly lovely team of people!
