Based in Aldershot

Are you looking for your next career move? We’re looking for a technically minded product manager  to join our client’s international team covering Europe and South Africa. We’re looking for someone with experience of product management in electrical or technical components who has excellent knowledge of Excel and is confident in implementing decisions. This role could suit a graduate with  2 years’ + experience in a related field or equally someone who is more experienced but ready for a new challenge.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ product management experience within electronics and/or technical components
  • A degree in a related field
  • Proven track record in identification, conception, set up and launch of new products
  • Technical knowledge in renewable or related electrical industry
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills
  • Strong IT skills in particular MS Excel

Role Summary:

  • Understanding of products and their applications, markets and drivers, customers and their needs
  • Identifying market requirements for future products by conducting market research and gaining constant feedback from internal and external sources
  • Manage all products from conception, through change, to EOL
  • Ensuring selection of the right product inline with margin and agreed terms using the product selection criteria to ensure competitive advantage
  • Technical and desktop evaluations which should conclude that the product performance and description is in line with its specifications
  • Identify any additional components required for customers to have a complete solution
  • Communicate introduction of new products, their applications and benefits to the local sales teams
  • Write and deliver new product launch plans
  • Liaise with marketing to market new and existing products
