Audio Visual Project Manager

Brand new role for the largest provider of collaboration technology solutions. Our client provides digital enablement solutions which transform how people and technology connect to elevate experiences, create new values, thrive and grow.

During this new growth phase we are looking for experienced Project Managers for the London, Home Counties and Scottish regions. All roles are predominantly home based (WFH) but require client site and office attendance as needed. We are specifically looking for PMs with outstanding experience of running large scale, multi-phase projects in the AV, Construction or Technology sectors

Summary

To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of multiple audio visual and video conferencing integration projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals along with complete customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all project activities, including change management, on-budget completion of project deliverables meeting client scope and quality requirements
  • Review contract documents for each assigned project - scopes of work, bid drawings and specifications, contract, subcontractor scopes of work, and construction schedules.
  • Create and manage comprehensive work breakdown structure and project schedule and coordinate/verify appropriate resource scheduling
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings for key participants from sales, engineering, fabrication, installation, programming, corporate department/third-party resources. Internal and external
  • Respond to communications from customers regarding problems or concern
  • Provide weekly progress reports to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acquire daily site progress reports from lead technicians and respond to needs identified
  • Ordering of equipment and materials for projects after engineering approval.
  • Manage equipment distribution and shipping through planning and co-ordination.
  • Proactively manage the change order process
  • Manage or facilitate the testing and certification of installed systems, arrange client demonstrations
  • Ensure all closeout/as-built documentation is created and stored in proper location for service and/or future office reference.
  • Extensive client communications, managhing expectations, goals and deliverables
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

Preferred Skills and experience

  • Management of all financial aspects of a project including revenue, cost and margin aspects including earned value management.
  • creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively manage large scale/high value multiple projects.
  • Understand specific system functionality and a good understanding of physical installation techniques.
  • Ability to accurately read and comprehend technical, contractual and construction related documents
  • Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project & Adobe Acrobat.
  • Good working knowledge of Information Technology and IT process and standards.
  • Understanding of networking and local network infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology (Structured Cabling / Security) or related industry is preferred.
  • Current Project Management Professional® (PMP) / PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is preferred.
  • Valid and current AVIXA General CTS certification is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain formal approved clearances (Government or system specific) may be required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
